Understanding your name check

Enter a username in the search bar and select Check name. The checker accepts 3–16 letters, numbers or underscores. You can look up names without signing in; changing or claiming a username happens in Hytale account settings.

What do available, taken and unknown mean?

Available means the name service reports that the username is available. Taken means it is in use. Reserved or restricted names are also shown as unavailable. Unknown means the check could not confirm a result; it does not mean the name is free.

Results may be cached and availability can change. A missing player profile does not prove a name is available. Confirm with Hytale before trying to claim it.

When will a Hytale name become available?

When the name feed provides a release estimate, the result shows its earliest and latest estimated times. A release window is not a guarantee, and some names have no known release time. HyLookout cannot reserve a name or claim it for you.

What does searches per month count?

This figure comes from the community name feed. It is not the total number of Hytale players searching for a name, and it is not Google search volume. If no count is supplied, the result shows it as unknown.

Can I see the player using a name?

When a matching public player profile is found, open it to view the character and available name history. You can also browse Hytale player skins. Recorded history shows observed changes and may be incomplete.
